Sweet Day

Yesterday, was my mom's birthday and parent's anniversary. It was a very low key day for sure, since both of my parents had busy schedules. But the morning was delightful. My dad and I ran out to get my mom a little cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes (so good!) and some fresh pink roses to make a bouquet. We decked out the table with her gifts, cake, and flowers for our mini celebration. It was fun to sit around and have coffee and enjoy the beginning of the day together. It was so awesome how it all worked out because as we sat together and mentioned how we wish Branyn was present to share in the fun, she called from Africa and sang happy birthday with the team! After, we all got the chance to talk a bit to her and hear about her trip. It was such a blessing.
Since the day was a bit scattered, my parents are planning on celebrating more on Friday by going out for dinner. My mom decided that she wants to go to Five Guys :) I can't help but love them..they are too cute.

It feels like such a long time since I last blogged! And so much has happened. This is my last week of summer, but I still want to add photos of our wonderful visit with Kari. Having her out here was so much fun and we're so thankful she got to come out.  We fit quite a bit into the time she was here and tried to show her some fun California places. More details on that soon!
It's been such a sweet summer.
