In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning.

Do you ever have those nights where you think you're tired so you lay in bed and get snuggled in- but for some weird reason you can't actually fall asleep???
That was my night last night. Tossing and turning, thinking and waiting. And sometimes I think that if I dont think about going to sleep and just let it happen- that will do the trick. The only thing is, if Im not thinking about going to sleep, I am thinking about all these silly things.
So- last night I got up and decided to move into the living room to sit there for a bit. I ended up talking with my mom and eating a piece of carrot cake. I know... why would I eat carrot cake out of all things before I go back to bed?
So I ate it, I talked with my mom, and I went briefly online with the thought of possibly blogging then. But I decided not to after all, and eventually I went back to my bed where I fell asleep quickly.
So now it's the morning and I have to get my day going. Hopefully I won't fall asleep during the day!

all things spring.

Today, it is a sunny spring day. My mom and I are going to run out for a bit and do some errands. Target is our destination. I usually love to look at the home decor and bridal magazines- so pretty!
For today, I thought since I am on Spring break that I would post some photos I love up. They are all so light and airy. So beautiful.

Easter Cupcakes!

If you remember in my last post, I said I was going to make cupcakes for our friends bbq yesturday.

I did, and they turned out super cute! (surprisingly) hehe.

By using the chocolate cake recipe on the back of the Hershey's cocoa container, a tub of Duncan Hines cream cheese frosting, toasted coconut, and Cadbury mini eggs- I made these simple little sweets.

My mom and I brainstormed for a bit on what the design should be. I think we came up with a good one! :)

How was your Easter? I hope it was great. Fo me, this may have been the best Easter. It was really simple, but we had a great morning and a wonderful time with friends. Im so happy that it is Spring!

Happy Easter to you all! I hope you all have a wonderful day of reflecting on what the Lord did for us.
Easter is such a great day to celebrate! Could there be anything more important to celebrate than the day of Christ's resurrection!?
My family and I are going to Easter Sunday service at our church like we do every year and I am really looking forward to it! It is always so fun to fellowship and celebrate with our church family.
At 4:00pm, we will be going to our friends house- the Edward's home to have a bbq and dessert. Im hoping to make some yummy cupcakes to go along with Easter theme. :)
